River Child

Recorded over 5 years, River Child was written by Josh Kraetsch, who played guitars, upright bass, percussion and loops.  Rebecca Sornson provided vocals and piano, and shaped its melodies, harmonies and lush arrangements.

Together, they weave an intimate, intricate journey that marries the tradition of poetic folk songwriters and the hard-won wisdom of initiatory rites of passage.

Millefolium’s songs resound from twisted tree trunks, gleam off birds’ beaks and ripple from river banks, inviting listeners in and out to a world abundant and teeming with feeling and meaning, passion and tenderness—a vivid elemental, imaginal and emotional landscape.

Come outside and feel this same breeze, come inside and reach into this same stream. These songs are reminders, guides, laments and prayers that want to be shared, for these steps are precious and precarious beneath our feet.

For those who care, enough to dance, to grieve, to listen, to see. For those who dare, to heal, who came to feel and don’t forget...for real, The Mystery.

Who knows? Maybe you are a River Child too.
